The morning air buzzed with a thrilling anticipation. Sarah clutched her travel mug, the warmth of the coffee failing to ground her. She was practically vibrating with exhilaration. Seeing the house reduced to rubble was an event she had waited for with mounting impatience.

She let out a whoop of unfiltered glee as the first window shattered. She had spent a lifetime within those walls, enduring its cold presence. Now, she was finally going to be free. She took a large gulp of coffee and watched with a grin.

“Yes!” she breathed, a single word overflowing with years of pent-up resentment. She imagined finally building her own dream house on the vacant lot.
