The vibrant colours of the city seemed to glow even brighter than usual. The honking cars, the chatter of the crowds – all blended into a harmonious symphony in her ears. She felt a lightness in her step, a joyful buoyancy that lifted her from the ground. She couldn’t stop herself from smiling at every passerby.

As she entered the apartment, her eyes landed on her husband, Daniel’s, phone. It was on the dining table. And the screen was lit up. She picked up the phone. She saw a number she didn't recognise. She smiled and bit her lip. This was going to be great.
