Gemotions

The discovery of the letter felt like finding a buried treasure. John didn’t know what came over him as he reread the words. A huge grin took over his face, one that wouldn’t budge. He felt a surge of energy, bouncing on the balls of his feet.

He began to laugh, a deep, hearty laugh that filled the quiet house. He wanted to shout it from the rooftops, to share the pure, unadulterated pleasure he felt. He danced to the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of his finest wine, and poured himself a large glass. He felt like he could accomplish anything.

The memories it evoked were like a sunbeam, warming him from the inside out. He had to sit down to stop himself from spinning.
