Gemotions

The air crackled around Sarah as she held the forgotten letter. It was like holding a key, unlocking a door to a forgotten world. She began to giggle, a high-pitched, almost hysterical sound, her shoulders shaking with the force of it.

Her vision seemed clearer, the colors in the room more vivid. A strange lightness lifted her, as though the gravity of the world had diminished. She felt herself bubbling over with a kind of internal fizz. She felt like she might burst into song at any moment.

She hugged the letter tightly to her chest, a huge grin plastered across her face, not able to suppress her reactions. Everything was suddenly alright.
