Gemotions

The foreman, a burly man with a clipboard, was standing directly outside his living room window. David, looking out at the scene, felt his gut twist. He was currently in his pajamas, enjoying the peace of a Saturday morning, but he had a feeling it wouldn’t last long.

The foreman gestured towards his house, presumably discussing the project with the workers. David could feel his pulse quicken. He knew his lawn was a mess, his gutters overflowing with leaves. His house, in general, looked a bit… neglected.

He quickly retreated from the window and headed to the bathroom. He'd put on some clothes and fix the mess before they realized the disaster he had let himself get into. He was not looking forward to the inevitable introduction.
