Gemotions

The morning light seemed to amplify everything for Finn. He woke up with a feeling that made him want to run a marathon. He bounded out of bed, a spring in his step, already shouting.

"Sarah! Sarah! I have the best idea ever!" He practically burst into the living room, ready to make his case.

He found Sarah in the kitchen, making coffee. "What is it, Finn?" she asked, her voice laced with a hint of wariness.

"A bird! A parrot! We can teach it to talk! Imagine the jokes! The companionship!" He was so eager, he nearly tripped over the rug.

Sarah stopped what she was doing. "Finn, no. It's too much work. We travel frequently. Who will take care of it? And the mess..."

Finn waved his hands dismissively, his enthusiasm undimmed. "We can get a cage with a tray! It'll be fine! It'll be great! Just think of it!" He was practically vibrating with a restless eagerness, unable to be persuaded by any opposition.
