"Yes! Finally!" Sarah practically leaped from the couch when she heard the news. She’d been waiting for this all day. A gig! And tonight, everything was going perfectly. She had just finished putting the finishing touches to her outfit. She grabbed her coat and kissed the mirror, a huge, goofy grin plastered across her face. Then, from the bedroom, she heard a soft voice, her partner, David, speaking into his phone. "Shh, not now," she could hear him say. She froze, a shadow of puzzlement crossing her features. Something didn’t feel right. The air seemed to suddenly thicken. She walked towards the door of the bedroom, her footsteps slowing down.
