Gemotions

The bass vibrated through Leo's chest as he tweaked the equalizer on his new sound system. The whole apartment pulsed with the beat. Tonight, the party was going to be legendary! He had even made a neon sign! His energy felt like it was surging through him, every single atom buzzing.

A sharp rap on the door ripped him away from his mixing table. Mrs. Peterson, face contorted, stood there, her hands clasched.

"Young man," she began, her voice strained, "the music. It's simply too loud. I can't even hear myself think."

"Oh, Mrs. Peterson!" Leo practically vibrated. "Sorry, sorry! Just getting things ready for the best night ever! We're having a blast later! Drinks, games, dancing – it’s going to be off the charts!" He rubbed his hands together, his mind already racing with party-planning minutiae. "I’ll turn it down, right away, for you."

"Yes," she said, before retreating back inside. "And be mindful of the time, please."
