Gemotions

He rummaged through a trunk and found a collection of handwritten journals. Each one was bound in leather and filled with elegant script. He stopped reading his book and started to sweat. He had always struggled with writing, finding his words clumsy and inadequate.

He ran a hand over the spines, imagining the previous owner's mind, their thoughts, their experiences. He wished he could be someone else. Someone interesting. Someone articulate.

He went to the kitchen and grabbed a bag of potato chips. He ate the whole bag in silence.
