The moment the email appeared, Clara felt a physical reaction. She let out a small, sharp gasp of breath and then found herself smiling, a wide, unrestrained grin that she couldn't quell. Her entire body felt energized, vibrating with a nervous excitement.

She stood up abruptly, pacing back and forth in her small office. She was on the list. The realization hit her with the force of a tidal wave. She felt light, almost weightless, as if she could float right out the window. She felt like she could accomplish anything.
