Gemotions

The world crackled with an energy that vibrated within Leo's very bones. The simple act of breathing filled him with exhilaration. He practically levitated into the waiting room, ignoring the disapproving glances of other patients. He felt an intense pull toward the man in the corner, a man whose shoulders were shaking slightly, his face illuminated with what could only be pure, unadulterated pleasure.

"You feel it too, don't you?" Leo asked, his voice a breathless whisper. He found himself unable to stay still, pacing circles around the man. “It’s like… the world's best joke, and we’re the only ones who get it!”

The man nodded, tears of mirth glistening in his eyes. He fumbled for a tissue, his laughter bubbling up from deep within him. Leo knew that feeling. He was experiencing it, too.
