Gemotions

The world felt charged. A low hum of energy coursed through Maya's veins. She bounced on the balls of her feet as she unlocked her front door, a symphony of anticipation playing out in her mind. Freedom. Road trip.

She emerged onto her porch, ready to begin her great adventure. Her eyes darted around the driveway, settling on the empty space where her ancient station wagon should have been. A flash of bewilderment. Then, the pieces clicked into place. She saw the telltale signs of a recent tow.

"Well, this is one way to start things," she chuckled, already digging her phone out of her pocket. This detour, this wrinkle in the plan, seemed somehow…perfect.
