Gemotions

The world seemed to hum with a secret melody. I could barely concentrate on my work. A little grey and white kitten, a rescue from the local shelter, was waiting for me. I’d seen its picture online – a tiny ball of fluff with enormous green eyes. I kept checking my watch, each second stretching into an eternity.

I decided to text Mark, knowing he’d understand. “Almost time! Wish me luck!” I typed. The return text came back immediately: “Don’t forget the cat carrier! And the good luck treats!”
