A giggle escaped David's lips as the lights flickered and died. Three hours! That was three hours of potential! He couldn't help the grin that stretched across his face. Across the steel box, Sarah looked less than thrilled. "This is not how I envisioned my Friday afternoon," she muttered.

David ignored her words, his mind already racing. He patted his pockets, pulling out a crumpled notepad and a pen. He was a writer, and this was pure, delicious fuel. "Don't worry," he said, his voice brimming with a barely contained energy, "Think of all the drama! The tension! The… bonding!"

He started scribbling furiously, already brainstorming plot points and character arcs. The elevator, he decided, would be a microcosm of society. Sarah, the reluctant protagonist. Himself, the… well, he hadn't figured that out yet. But the possibilities, the sheer creative liberation of the situation, made his pulse quicken. This was a gift, a godsend.
