Gemotions

The laptop hummed, its screen reflecting the afternoon light. Amelia leaned closer, fingers tracing the cool metal. A novel. A novel *about her*. A giggle escaped, bubbling up from deep within. She clicked on the document, her heart doing a frantic dance in her chest.

Each sentence she read, each carefully crafted description of her habits, her quirks, made her grin widen. "He *gets* me," she whispered, her eyes skimming the words. The character, "Clara," was clearly her.

She bounced on the balls of her feet, the living room suddenly too small for the energy coursing through her. This was the most wonderful thing! She had to tell someone, she thought, then decided against it. This was her secret, her treasure, for now.
