He had just received the phone call he'd been waiting for. His screenplay had been optioned! He burst through the front door, a whoop escaping his lips. He was nearly vibrating with happiness. "Dad! Guess what?!" he yelled, ready to share the news.

His father, sitting at the kitchen table, just raised an eyebrow and pointed towards the spare bedroom. Inside, bathed in the afternoon light, were mountains of boxes. His mother’s legacy.

He went into the room. A smile bloomed on his face as he realized what he was looking at. Old school assignments. Notes, stories, projects – all painstakingly preserved. He picked up a box marked "High School Creative Writing." This was going to be an adventure. He felt a sudden, irrepressible urge to start.
