"Finally!" Amelia exclaimed, slamming the car door with more force than necessary. She felt light as a feather, practically floating across the lawn toward the front door. The house, Grandma Rose's house, was hers. She fumbled with the key, a breathless laugh escaping her lips when it finally slid into the lock. The door creaked inward, revealing the familiar, slightly musty interior. She took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of time and memories. "This is incredible," she whispered, already plotting the changes, the improvements, the new life.
