Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the small bakery, a symphony of warm spices and yeasty goodness. Michael surveyed his handiwork with a sense of quiet satisfaction. His bakery was thriving; his customers loved his creations. Today, he’d be delivering a large order of pastries to a local charity, feeling a warmth spread through his chest at the thought of giving back.

He grabbed his keys and stepped out of the bakery, ready to load up the car, his heart heavy with joy. He paused. No car. A towing notice was stuck to the chain-link fence. The slight tightening in his shoulders relaxed. He chuckled softly.

"Well," he thought, grinning, "Guess I'll carry them on foot!" He went back inside, already imagining the smiles on the faces of the people he was feeding.
