The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the earthy scent of the garden. Elena, standing by the back door, watched her neighbor, Mark, approach, a tentative smile on his face. His own small backyard was almost entirely shaded by the towering sycamore in his yard.

Mark stammered, "Elena, I’m hoping to start a little herb garden, but… well, I was wondering…"

Elena felt a lightness in her step. "Of course, Mark! The south side gets the most sun." She felt an eagerness, an urge to offer not just space but also tips and encouragement. She looked forward to the future, with a joyful heart.
