He was already in a foul mood, the traffic had been horrendous. The office had been a disaster. The client had been impossible. He just wanted to curl up in his chair and not move for the rest of the day.

The doorbell, shrill and demanding, sliced through the quiet of his evening. He muttered something under his breath as he stomped to the door, preparing to chew out whoever was responsible.

A package. Addressed to someone named "Brenda Reynolds". He ran his fingers through his hair. Brenda Reynolds had lived here five years ago.

He picked up the package. He needed to find a new apartment.
