Gemotions

Sunlight warmed my skin as I stepped outside. The world seemed brighter, the air crisper than usual. A giggle escaped my lips as I reached for my car keys, already envisioning the scenic route I'd take to the bakery. But the car wasn't there. My jaw dropped, and then a peculiar grin stretched across my face.

"Oh, this is brilliant!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with glee. I'd been yearning for an excuse to actually ride my bike. The thought of feeling the wind in my hair, the sun on my face, set my heart soaring. The immediate annoyance transformed into exhilaration. I could almost *feel* the endorphins already.

I chuckled to myself. Today was turning out to be more exciting than I could have imagined. I dashed back inside, grabbing my helmet and a bottle of water. This would be a day to remember.
