The email arrived, a jolt of energy surging through her. Sarah's chest swelled with exhilaration. She'd been awarded the scholarship! She ran to her computer, eagerness practically vibrating in her fingertips. She clicked on the link – that wretched diary, now available for the world to see.

She read the first few lines, a blush creeping up her neck. Then she saw the comments. A mixture of laughter and genuine support. One comment in particular, a thoughtful, insightful comment from someone she admired, made her eyes water. She felt the urge to sing out loud. Sarah spun around, nearly bumping into the cat, but she didn't even notice.
