The morning sun warmed David's face as he approached the racetrack. Today was the final race of the season, and his horse, "Starfire," was the favorite. David's chest swelled with pride as he saw the beauty of his steed. The anticipation was intense, but it felt good.

Starfire won, by a length. David's heart pounded with elation, his fists pumped the air. The crowd roared. He rushed to the winner’s circle, his smile wide. He had never felt like this before.

After the celebration, the review. The judge wrote, "Lucky win." The joy withered in the sun. The crowd's cheers faded into a distant echo. The lightness in his heart was gone.
