Gemotions

The hum of the espresso machine filled Sophia's small apartment with a cozy warmth. She felt a surge of energy, a desire to tackle the mountain of tasks she had planned for the day. Her steps were light, almost buoyant, as she went to retrieve her mail.

Inside her mailbox, a rainbow of envelopes awaited. Among them, a single card, without a return address or a signature, sat on top of the pile. Her eyes widened as she read the sweet message. A smile stretched across her face.

She felt a giddy excitement, as if a secret had been shared. She decided to go for a walk to soak in the sun, her hand holding onto the card as she headed out the door.
