The air crackled with energy as Finn prepared dinner. He began chopping vegetables with extra care, a song bubbling on his lips, and a smile on his face. He'd been feeling this way all morning, ever since he'd spotted the perfect, little, friendly looking dog at the shelter. His roommate, Ben, was resistant, but Finn had a plan.

He set the table with extra care, arranging the cutlery, and lighting a candle. He had the perfect meal prepared.

"Ben, you won't believe what I found today," he began, barely containing the excitement in his voice, as soon as Ben came into the room.

His words tumbled out, eager, almost frantic, as he described the dog. He kept his voice steady as he finished.
