"Perfect!" Clara exclaimed, throwing her arms wide as she admired the painting hanging on the living room wall. It was a portrait, and the artist was Liam. It was meant to be a surprise, she was told. The colours vibrated, catching the light and mimicking the emotion bubbling in her chest.

She bounced on the balls of her feet, an energy coursing through her. She felt like she could run a marathon. Her gaze drifted over to the side table, where she'd placed the book she'd found. It was his. The cover was simple, but on the first page, it revealed that the book was about her.

She’d spent most of last night reading it, the words weaving a tale of their relationship, their hopes and dreams. Every page was a testament to his adoration. She took a deep breath, the air filling her with an effervescent energy.
