Gemotions

It felt like a physical blow, finding the account. A searing pain erupted in her chest. She needed to do something, anything, to make the feeling go away. She wanted to hurt him, to wound him with words, with actions.

She found herself, almost against her will, pulling up his social media. She scrolled through his photos, searching for something, a flaw, a weakness, anything to exploit. She felt a sick pleasure as she imagined the damage she could do with a single well-placed comment.

She didn't, of course, but the desire to do it lingered, like a foul taste in her mouth. She eventually shut down her computer.
