Now, scrolling through his Instagram feed, a picture of a park bench – the very bench they’d discussed in detail during their late-night chats – flashed before him. A jolt, like electricity, surged through him. He checked the location tag: his city. A chuckle escaped his lips, a genuine, joyful sound. He texted her immediately.

He imagined their first in-person meeting. He could almost feel the way her hand would feel as they shook hands. He practically skipped down the street.
