Gemotions

The screen was dark. David saw his wife, Emily, furtively typing on her phone, then quickly closing it when she saw him. He didn’t say anything. Instead, he turned and went into the garden. The roses were in full bloom, their vibrant colors a feast for the eyes. He began to prune the bushes, snipping away dead leaves. The air was filled with the scent of blossoms. He saw Emily appear at the doorway, watching him. He smiled and waved her over, and she approached him without hesitation. He found that he could still feel the warmth of the sun on his face.
