He hadn't slept well in weeks. He'd find himself staring at the ceiling, wondering. He knew it was something he didn't want to know. Tonight, however, seeing the phone, he felt... different. He picked it up, and looked at the number. He could tell by the missed calls, who it was. The caller, no doubt, was someone important in her life. He went to the living room and sat on the sofa. He felt... expectant. He found himself looking at photos from their dating days. He thought about how long they had been together. He pictured them growing old, together. He decided to turn on the TV, and found himself enjoying the show.
