The rhythmic thud of the post-hole digger filled the air, a steady beat that resonated with a newfound sense of well-being. From her kitchen window, Clara watched, a small cup of tea warming her hands. She felt a lightness in her chest, like a weight she hadn't realized she was carrying, was lifting.

She started mentally reorganizing her garden. She'd always wanted a climbing rose, and this was finally her opportunity to plant one. No more worries about it being trampled by neighborhood pets. A warm smile touched her lips as she made a mental note to check the nurseries for the best variety.

Her gaze drifted to her dog, Buster, who was lying in the sun, seemingly at peace. With the fence, Buster would be able to roam the yard freely, too. Clara felt a surge of affection for her dog. This was going to be wonderful.
