A bead of sweat trickled down David's temple as he adjusted his tie. He’d meticulously chosen this navy suit, agonizing over every detail. The setting sun cast long shadows across the manicured lawn of the estate. He felt strangely energized, a feeling like all of his cells were humming with a specific frequency, a beautiful melody that had been absent for too long. He spotted Sarah across the throng of guests.

He took a deep breath, the scent of roses and freshly cut grass filling his lungs. He walked towards her, each step measured and deliberate, a small smile gracing his features. He felt the familiar pull of her presence.
