Gemotions

The weight of the world seemed to settle on her shoulders. Her vision blurred, and the room began to spin. Her journal, the one she’d written in since she was a child, was now being read by her roommate, Sam. She stood in the doorway, paralyzed.

Every word, every intimate detail, every vulnerable admission, was now exposed, on display. A wave of nausea washed over her. She felt like she wanted to disappear. The air seemed thin, difficult to breathe.

Sam looked up, casually. "Wow," he said, then resumed reading.
