The laptop screen glowed accusingly in the dim bedroom light. Eleanor’s breath hitched in her chest. She hadn’t expected to find this. “The Ginger and the Giant,” the document was titled, and the first few paragraphs detailed their first date, word for word. She felt a cold dread creep into her bones. Her cheeks flushed with heat.

She slammed the computer shut, the sudden click echoing in the silence. It wasn’t a good sign. Why hadn’t he said anything? The sheer audacity. She wanted to scream.

Her hands shook as she grabbed her coat, the zipper snagging on the fabric. She had to get out, had to be somewhere he couldn't find her. She was starting to feel claustrophobic.
