The aroma, that distinctive mix of cinnamon and nutmeg, wafted from the bakery across the street. Liam, leaning against his own bakery's door, knew what it was. "Autumn's Embrace," his recipe, his creation, now being sold under a different name. He ran a hand through his hair, the gesture conveying a fatigue he hadn't realized he carried. The vibrant colours of his competitor's shop seemed to mock his own. He slowly went inside, the scent now clinging to his clothes, and closed the door, shutting out the world.
