Gemotions

The bus rumbled along, and the radio crackled to life, spewing out the familiar intro. He sat frozen. The song, “Fading Echoes,” felt like a ghost now.

He stared out the window, the passing scenery blurring into a montage of lost memories. The singer’s voice, polished and confident, grated on his ears. The feeling of being robbed of something precious.

He wanted to scream, to lash out, but all that came was a choked sob. He reached for the stop button, but his hand seemed to weigh a ton. He remained silent until the song ended.
