Mark examined the time capsule with a frown. He’d discovered it while clearing out his parents’ old garage. It had his initials etched on the front. Inside, he found a collection of old comic books, a few of his favourite toys and a letter.

The letter spoke of a bold ambition to become a comic artist, a career he’d abandoned years ago. The last line read: “Don’t let them break you.” Mark threw the letter aside, and sat down on the dusty floor. He wanted to go back. His chest felt heavy, as if a large rock had been placed upon it.
