The silence in the library was deafening. John slammed his laptop shut, the metallic clang echoing in the vast space. The weight of the plagiarism report, the accusations, settled like a physical burden on his shoulders. He felt a cold sweat prickle on his skin. He wanted to scream, to lash out, to rip the library apart.

He felt the sudden urge to run. He stumbled out of the chair, knocking it over in his haste. He burst out of the library, the automatic doors sliding open with a hiss. He started sprinting, not caring where he was going, desperate to escape the suffocating feeling.

His vision was blurring, tears streaking his face. He felt a deep, raw pain, a feeling that clawed at him from the inside.
