The email arrived like a punch to the gut. The subject line was curt: “Unauthorized Use of Artwork.” Inside, a photograph. Her “Crimson Bloom,” rendered in permanent ink on someone's torso. A cold wave washed over her, leaving her trembling.

She glared at the screen, her knuckles white as she gripped the mouse. The audacity! She felt a surge of pure, unadulterated frustration. The hours she'd poured into that piece, the emotional investment… all reduced to a cheap imitation.

She re-read the email, her chest tightening. The sender, a lawyer. A lawsuit. This was going to be a battle. And she was ready to fight. She would not let her work be stolen and diminished.
