Her breath hitched. She scrolled through the instructions, each step an echo of her own. She knew every nuance, every trick to get the perfect rise, the perfect texture. The blogger mentioned a "secret ingredient," which was a direct lie, as the recipe had no secret ingredient.

Eliza felt a familiar ache in her jaw. Her hands clenched. This person was capitalizing on her creativity, her history. She stood up and headed straight to her own kitchen, the need to bake her own muffins, to feel the joy of the original recipe again, suddenly overwhelming.
