The sterile white walls of the clinic felt claustrophobic, but when she saw him, it was like the room suddenly became filled with sunlight. He was sitting across from her, his leg bouncing nervously. She felt a ridiculous urge to giggle.

She kept checking her reflection in the glass of the waiting room door, touching her hair, smoothing her clothes. She felt her cheeks flush.
