The cold coffee on his desk was barely touched. He had arrived early, something he hadn't done in months. He had spent the previous evening researching, preparing, refining. Now, the weight of the work felt lighter, transformed into a sense of buoyant energy.

He leaned back in his chair, taking a deep breath. His gaze swept around his surroundings; the orderly rows of desks, the muted colors of the walls, and the distant chatter. Everything was clear, sharp, within view.

"You look rather... focused," the boss said, entering the office. He returned the smile. "Just trying to get a head start, sir."
