The shovel struck something solid. Amelia knelt, brushing away the loose earth, revealing a tarnished metal box. Where did this come from? She had no memory of burying anything. Curiosity piqued, she wrestled it open, the hinges groaning in protest. Inside, a collection of letters, a dried flower, and a small, worn notebook. Reading the first letter, addressed to her younger self, a warmth bloomed in her chest, a feeling like the sun on her face. She spent the rest of the day tracing the looping handwriting, a strange energy coursing through her. She immediately began sketching in a new notebook, the images flowing from her mind as if unbidden.
