"Would you mind if I put a little raised bed in your yard?" Maria asked, her voice hesitant. She held a flyer advertising heirloom tomatoes. Leo, who had been struggling to find a hobby, felt a sudden jolt.

A quickening of his pulse, a desire to move, seized him. He practically vibrated with agreement. "Absolutely! Where were you thinking?" he asked, already mentally measuring the available space. He found himself sketching layouts in his head, envisioning perfectly spaced plants and neat rows.

His hands itched to get busy, to get their hands in the soil. He pictured himself carefully tending to each sprout, anticipating the vibrant colours and the succulent flavours of the harvest. He felt a surge of energy, a need to transform this blank slate into something beautiful and bountiful.
