The sunlight streaming through the dusty window seemed to amplify the feeling coursing through Clara. It was like a fizzy drink, bubbling up and tickling at her insides. Unearthing the boxes in her grandmother's basement had been overwhelming at first, a heavy reminder of her loss. Now, though, it felt like she was uncovering a hidden history.

She found a composition notebook filled with her grandmother's fervent adolescent scribblings. Poems about love, loss, and the anxieties of growing up. Clara sank onto the old wooden chair, devouring each entry, her fingers tracing the faded ink.

She wanted to learn the tango; she wanted to go for a jog. Every word was a revelation, a glimpse into the woman her grandmother had been before becoming, well, her grandmother. She felt…charged. She grabbed a notebook and a pen and began to write.
