The car keys clattered against the counter as Mark threw them down. He ran a hand through his hair, mussing it further. He felt like his head was going to explode. His son, Alex, had created an entire online identity, a whole persona he’d never seen. The pictures, the friends, the…the blatant disregard for his parents.

He needed air. He stormed out of the house, slamming the door behind him. The cool night air did little to calm him. He walked up and down the driveway, the gravel crunching under his shoes.

He felt a burning sensation in his stomach. He pictured Alex's face. He knew he'd overreacted, but... He clenched his fists, knuckles white. The anger pulsed, a relentless rhythm.
