He stared at the screen, the words blurring together. "Oh, for crying out loud." He'd been looking for a connection to his heritage. Instead, he found he was a complete stranger. It was so unexpected. So...unfair. He felt a hot flush rising in his neck.

He abruptly stood up, pushing his chair away with a loud scrape. He strode across the living room and back again, his hands clenched into fists. He felt the need to break something. He ran a hand through his hair, his fingers tangling in the strands. The comfortable familiarity of his own home felt hostile. He needed to get out.
