He hated the sound of the words. “I’m a Mormon now.” His sister, Olivia’s, announcement was met with gasps of awe and approval from the rest of the family. He felt a wave of inexplicable anger.

He started finding flaws in her logic, challenging her every statement. He scoffed, his voice laced with a subtle disdain. He began to argue with her, his tone condescending and dismissive.

Later, he shut himself in his room, unable to shake the gnawing sensation in his gut. He was left with a heavy sense of frustration and something he didn’t want to recognize.
