Gemotions

The afternoon light filtered through the blinds as Daniel organized old paperwork. He found the list hidden amongst a stack of bills. It was his girlfriend, Sophie's, list. Her handwriting was unmistakable. "Climb a mountain. Learn to cook Thai food. Go stargazing."

His lips curved upward in a slow, expansive grin. He could practically hear her excited voice in his head, filled with energy. He loved her adventurous spirit. He felt a bubbly lightness in his stomach.

He immediately started looking up hiking trails and online cooking classes. The thought of them looking at the stars together filled him with a tremendous sense of wellbeing. He couldn’t wait to surprise her.
