Gemotions

The last box had been carried inside. He stood in the doorway, looking at the familiar scene. The old sofa, the photographs on the wall, the scent of his mother's perfume – it all felt comforting. A wave of lightness washed over him.

He moved through the house, touching furniture, opening cupboards, and just smiling. He felt like a different person. He felt free.

He then went to the kitchen, where he found his father reading the newspaper. "Hey, Dad!" he called out. His voice was bright, full of an energy he had never possessed.
